Transport Ministry Secretary KCN Perera says that the issuance of vehicle revenue licenses has been temporarily suspended in the Western Province. The Ministry of Transport stated in a statement that this step was taken temporarily due to an update of the computer system.
Accordingly, the issuance of vehicle revenue licenses in the Western Province has been temporarily suspended from the 27th to the 2nd of October. The Ministry of Transport further states that vehicle revenue licenses expiring from tomorrow can be redeemed without paying fines until the 10th of October.

ඒ අනුව එළඹෙන 27 වනදා සිට ඔක්තෝම්බර් 02 වන දින දක්වා බස්නාහිර පළාත තුළ වාහන ආදායම් බලපත්‍ර නිකුත් කිරීම තාවකාලිකව අත්හිටුවා තිබෙනවා. හෙට දිනයේ සිට කල්ඉකුත් වන වාහන ආදායම් බලපත්‍ර ඔක්තෝම්බර් මස 10 වන දින දක්වා දඩ මුදල් ගෙවීමකින් තොරව නැවත ලබාගැනීමේ හැකියාවක් පවතින බවයි ප්‍රවාහන අමාත්‍යංශය වැඩිදුරටත් පවසන්නේ.
